CURRENTLY QUERYING FOR LITERARY REPRESENTATION

Sixteen years ago, the Blackout shut the lights off and by the time they turned back on, the world had completely changed.  Now, college sophomore, Emma Reyes, is writing her seminar paper on the mysterious event that claimed the lives of millions across the globe, including her older sister. One night while taking a break from writing, Emma stumbles on a mugging and tries to play hero. Unfortunately, she has no idea what she’s doing. Fortunately, Dante intervenes. Displaying feats of strength reminiscent of Emma’s favorite comic books, Emma believes that she has met a real-life superhero. As far as Dante is concerned, nothing could be further from the truth.

Dante is no superhero. Never has been. He lives his life in pursuit of one mission: putting as many bad guys in the ground as possible, a mission he completes with the help of his brother, John. He doesn’t have time for distractions. Yet, as much as he hates to admit it, he can’t get Emma out of his head. What’s worse is that since he’s met her, he’s been haunted by dreams and memories of a life he doesn’t remember living. When these memories start interfering in Dante’s work, he abandons a job for a mission of his own: finding out what’s happening to him.

As Emma’s curiosity into the mystery of the Blackout crosses into Dante’s journey into a past he swears he doesn’t have, the pair are thrust into a web of secrets, lies, and revelations. In a race against time to uncover their shared connection, Dante and Emma must stop a plot that threatens to destroy the whole world. All the while, the pair must survive a familiar threat, as they become John’s latest targets.
